HMT Boswellia Extract is standardized for 65% active triterpenoids called boswellic acids which is known for supporting anti-inflammatory, anti-elastase and anti-aging activity.
 
Boswellic acid is also a natural potent inhibitor of proinflammatory enzyme called 5-LOX (a.k.a 5-lypooxygenase) that lead to leukotriene biosynthesis mainly responsible for inflammation and allergic reactions. Therefore, it can also be orally administered for the cure of numerous inflammatory diseases and cancer because of its anti-inflammatory, immune-modulatory and stimulatory actions.
It is also used to relieve joint inflammation pain, many types of arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis etc) and pain relief for gout.
